So you're contemplating trialing and perhaps purchasing our Website as a Service (WaaS) offering. But, before you proceed through layers of customization branding your site, we highly suggest the following.

Before Starting a Trial

Firstly, knowing where to begin trialing add-ons on our platform is vital. When logged into your account, add-on trials are activated, and additional purchases are made in the billing area.

Navigate the side menu to Platform & Billing > Billing. Under White Label - Your Own Branded Version is where you activate branding add-ons.

Ideally, only start your WaaS trial if you already have a color scheme, brand, or logo in mind. Having these ready is a step closer to ensuring you make the most of your trial instead of having to acquire them during it.

And when WaaS is active, to preview your branded site, you'll initially be required to enter General site details that aren't required to be legitimate until purchased, so don't waste time hunting specifics down to get a feel for your cosmetic preferences.

Here are a few quick tips to get the most out of your trial, starting with what you don't need.

What you don't need

  • A web domain at this stage; you don't need any domain to trial WaaS, so don't purchase a new domain when all you want to do is trial the WaaS service.
  • An SSL certificate at this stage, as SSL certificates are auto-generated.
  • A DNS CNAME record addition for your custom white-label domain while you're on trial, as you can test the service without it. If you have an existing domain, you can use that to test, but you can still test your customized site without a domain by starting a preview.

What you do need

  • Knowledge of SCSS/CSS to customize your WaaS site, making it look how you want.
  • Knowledge of JSON to customize the side menu navigation options.
  • A bit of time to test and tweak customizations to match your brand.

If you keep these points in mind, you'll get a good feel for your white-label site while maximizing your trial.

Before Purchasing

So, your trial is about to expire, and you're looking to purchase. But before you do, ensure you have the following in place to have your WaaS up and running correctly on your domain.

What you do need

  • A web domain name that your site can be accessed by. You'll need to purchase one if you don't have a domain.
  • SSL certificate, Auto-generated once purchased.
  • SCSS/CSS knowledge to change the styling and color scheme of your WaaS site to match your brand's.
  • A support email address configured with your domain hosting provider.
  • A help page URL set up on your brand's marketing website for your customers to get help and support from you.

Get all of this done, and as soon as you purchase, your site could go live while addressing connections for cloud services requiring API access against your WaaS site domain.

Why you'll need to Enable Connections for API Access

Your Website as a Service portal will run under your own domain, but behind the scenes, it is still running on our servers. When you or your users authenticate Connections in an account, needed for Connectors (Form Connectors and Data Source Connectors) to push and pull data on your Website as a Service web portal, the authorization message needs to show your brand instead of ours, coupled with redirect URLs pointing to your domain and not nomorePAPER's to be successful.

Depending on the services you or your users might use, the following site integrations will eventually need to be set up.

  • Use your own SendGrid Account
  • Enabling Google Connections
  • Enabling OneDrive Personal Connections
  • Enabling Dropbox Connections
  • Enabling GeoOp Connections
  • Enabling Box Connections
  • Enabling Egnyte Connections
