Our platform has great support for multilanguage capabilities in our app and on our web portal.

In this article, we'll tell you a bit more about our new web portal multilanguage features as well as recap some of the existing multilanguage capabilities already available through our platform.

On our platform, you can publish forms with support for multiple languages and also have each app user view our interface in a language of their choice.

Adding your own custom language is also possible if you have AaaS (App as a Service).

Multi-Language Web Portal

This language selector is located in the main menu of the secure web portal. It allows you to change the web interface from a list of pre-configured languages. When you select a different language, the web interface of the web portal will change to that language. Website administrators can access the secure portal in a language of their choice. The user can choose from a few available languages.

Click on the drop-down to view all available languages.

You can change the language of the web portal interface by clicking on the language option shown in the screenshot below:

Even with AaaS or WaaS, you will not be able to ADD any new language translations to the list of languages presented as web portal language selection options.

You don't need any add-on services active on your account in order to be able to change the default language for the web portal interface.

Multi-Language Forms

A single form can have multiple languages associated with it. The language of the form will be determined by what language the app user selects.

If you have AaaS configured and you have added language file translations, then these languages will be available to select in the form designer screen in addition to the preinstalled English, Spanish and Dutch languages. For each language you select from the dropdown, you can create a new translation for that field by editing the form fields. Things like Title Text, Hint Text, etc...can all be changed to reflect your selected language.

Users of your app can then access the form in the language you created translations for by selecting the language they'd like their app interface in by setting it in their app settings.

Default Languages for Multi-Language Forms

By default, we have built-in support for the following languages:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • Dutch

You will not be able to add any other languages unless your account is setup with AaaS.

Custom In-App Languages (AaaS)

App users can select their preferred language from the list of languages configured through the AaaS static language translation feature. Forms will also load in this language if form language translations have been done through the form designer language configuration.

Each app user can select their own personalized language from the list of languages available. For e.g., If the language “Japanese” has been configured in a language file and various forms have been configured with a “Japanese” translation, then if the user selects “Japanese” as their language in the app settings, then the app interface and forms will all load in Japanese.

You will not be able to add any other languages unless your account is setup with AaaS.

Multi-Language Overview

The table below gives a brief overview of each multilanguage option available on our platform and what add-on services (if any) are necessary to use it fully.
